LolaCore for Statistics · Free Add-on · Requires LolaCore

# Ask Lola what your traffic just did.

LolaCore for Statistics lets you ask in plain language: how's the site doing this week, which pages dropped, what's that weird spike on Tuesday. Lola reads what WP Statistics already records and tells you what it means, instead of making you tour twelve dashboard screens to figure it out yourself.

- 22 capabilities (18 with WP Statistics Free)
- Works with WP Statistics Free, DataPlus & Marketing
- Built on the public WP Statistics PHP API

## The Problem

### You think in sentences. WP Statistics makes you tour twelve dashboards.

When you think about your site, you think in plain sentences: "how did we do this week," "which page is losing traffic," "is that Singapore visitor real." WP Statistics has the data for every one of those answers. It just stores them across a dozen separate screens you have to open one by one, set a date range on, and cross-reference by eye. That fatigue of opening dashboards, tabs, and date ranges is what we call [admin fatigue](https://lolacore.com/admin-fatigue/).

One question, that's five minutes of clicking. A real review of last month, that's an hour you don't have, repeated every time something looks off.

LolaCore for Statistics removes the translation step. You say the sentence to Lola. She picks the right read, sets the right range, compares it against what your site normally looks like, and tells you in one paragraph what's worth knowing.

## Demo

### What changes when Lola handles your stats

**The Monday-morning question**

**LolaSite Summary**

How did the site do this week?

Last 7 days vs the previous 7: 3,142 visitors, up 8%. 9,604 pageviews, up 4%. Top three pages: /pricing, /blog/woocommerce-cart-recovery, /about. Top sources: Google organic, direct, and Reddit (that thread you posted Friday brought 140). One thing worth flagging: /docs/installation lost 22% of its views compared to last week. Want me to take a closer look?

✓ Weekly summary delivered, one anomaly surfaced

She didn't show you the Overview screen. She read it for you, picked the comparison that matters this week, and flagged the one number you'd have missed by only scanning totals.

**Diagnosing a page that's losing traffic**

**LolaDecline Analysis**

Find any pages that dropped this month.

Comparing the last 30 days against the previous 30, eight pages lost more than 15% of their visitors. Two are seasonal. The other six shouldn't be dropping. The biggest one: /guides/setup-wp-statistics, from 412 visitors to 187, that's 55% down. I cross-checked with your SEO add-on: the canonical URL on that page was changed three weeks ago and now points to a page that didn't exist before. Google may have followed it and stopped indexing the original. Want me to roll back the canonical?

✓ 6 declining pages flagged · 1 root cause identified

You described a symptom. Lola found the page, traced the cause across to your SEO settings, and gave you a one-step fix.

**Spotting a pattern that deserves attention**

**LolaAnomaly Detection**

Anything weird going on this week?

Two things. A single visitor from Singapore visited 47 pages in 18 minutes on Wednesday night, direct traffic, one browser, no referrer, hitting your privacy policy, login page, robots.txt and 23 product pages in order. That reads like reconnaissance or scraping, not a customer. Second, /privacy-policy received 89 hits this week, up from a baseline of 4 to 6. Most arrived from organic searches for 'gdpr compliance' and 'cookie policy template.' I can prepare an exclusion for the Singapore IP range so it stops inflating your stats. Want me to?

✓ 2 patterns surfaced · 1 remediation prepared

A dashboard would have shown you the number. Lola read what it meant, told you which one to ignore and which one might need action, and offered the next step.

## Cross-domain

### A traffic anomaly is rarely just a traffic anomaly.

When something unusual shows up in your stats, the cause often lives somewhere else: a recent SEO change, a missing plugin, a content edit nobody flagged. Lola has the affinity declared with SEO, content, and commerce, so when a finding overlaps with one of them, she follows it across.

**LolaCross-domain**

That privacy-policy spike from earlier. What's going on?

Following up on the 89 hits to /privacy-policy. I checked your installed plugins: there's no cookie consent solution active on the site. The traffic pattern suggests visitors are landing on that page expecting a compliance mechanism that isn't there. If an automated compliance probe is also looking, the same page is where it lands. Two options: add a cookie consent plugin, or I can build a small custom one for you with the Plugin Builder. Which one first?

✓ Stats signal connected to plugin inventory · remediation proposed

The stats spike was the sensor. The real finding was the gap in your site. Lola made the jump from one to the other because she could see both at once.

## Analyst, not a security tool

### She reads the room. She doesn't run the firewall.

When Lola finds a pattern that looks like reconnaissance or a compliance probe, she describes it and suggests next steps you can review and approve. She does not block visitors, ban IPs, or replace your security plugin. The remediation she can offer is a confirmed exclusion inside WP Statistics so the offending traffic stops inflating your stats. If you need active blocking, that lives in a different layer. Lola will tell you when a pattern looks like it needs that layer. She won't pretend to be it.

## Capabilities

### 22 capabilities across 7 areas. 18 with WP Statistics Free.

The four Marketing and DataPlus capabilities require the matching WP Statistics add-on from VeronaLabs and turn on automatically when detected. Everything else works on the free WP Statistics.

**Traffic overview**
Site summary for any range, daily traffic trend with period-over-period change, online-visitor count (when the Real-Time Stats add-on is active).

**Audience breakdown**
Geographic (countries, cities, regions), devices (browsers, OS, categories), and traffic sources (referrers, search engines, social).

**Content performance**
Top pages and posts by views and visitors. Per-page deep dive with bounce rate, entry, exit, and referrers. Category and author-level rollups.

**Decline & anomaly detection**
Find declining pages across two date ranges. Detect attention-worthy patterns: sensitive-page bursts, single-visitor site sweeps, geographic concentration, daily spikes. Each finding ships with a type, a severity, and a suggested next step. Investigate any visitor pattern into a full journey with device and geo context.

**Tracking configuration**
Read and update allowlisted tracking toggles (logged-in tracking, page tracking, bot filtering). Dry-run preview before any change.

**Exclusions & privacy**
Manage exclusions for IPs, URLs, countries, and user roles. Set privacy options (IP anonymization, hashing, DNT) with GDPR warnings on destructive changes.

**Tracking health**
Recording status check, recent exclusion counts, top 404 URLs. Privacy audit snapshot from the WP Statistics compliance panel.

**Marketing & DataPlus (when active)**
Conversion goals performance and UTM campaign analytics (Marketing add-on). Outbound link clicks and file download events (DataPlus add-on).

## Free vs add-ons

### What you need on the WP Statistics side

| | WP Statistics Free | + Marketing | + DataPlus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Traffic, audience, and content reads | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Decline and anomaly detection | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Tracking, exclusions, privacy config | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Conversion goals & UTM campaigns | No | Yes | N/A |
| Link & download tracking | No | N/A | Yes |
| LolaCore for Statistics add-on | Free | Free | Free |

The add-on itself is always free. What changes is which WP Statistics add-ons you already have. The four gated capabilities show up automatically when Lola detects the matching add-on. Everything else works the same.

## Memory

### Lola remembers what your site normally looks like

Every traffic question you ask leaves a trace. Not the raw data, the shape of your normal: which pages usually carry the load, where your audience usually comes from, which days run hot, which months are seasonal.

That memory is what makes "find anything weird this week" a useful question. Without a baseline, every number is just a number. With one, the same number becomes "down 22% from your usual" or "five times your normal Singapore traffic."

The memory lives inside your WordPress install, decays over time so old context fades, and updates as you keep working. The longer the add-on is active, the sharper her sense of your site becomes.

## Safety

### No write happens without your approval

Updating a tracking setting, adding an exclusion, changing a privacy option: every write action goes through a confirmation step. Lola shows you exactly what will change before it changes, including the GDPR implications when they apply. You review, you confirm.

Read actions, including the full anomaly scan, run directly. They don't change anything, so they don't need approval.

## Requirements

### What you need

- LolaCore: Free, active on the same site
- WP Statistics: Free, active. Available on WordPress.org from VeronaLabs.
- WordPress: 7.0 or higher
- PHP: 8.1 or higher

The WP Statistics paid add-ons (Marketing, DataPlus, Real-Time Stats) are optional. The four matching capabilities activate automatically when Lola detects them.

## For developers

### If you already speak the WP Statistics API

Most of this page is written for the site owner who'd rather not open another dashboard. If you work with WP Statistics directly, two things matter.

First, every capability runs against the public WP Statistics PHP API: the Models query layer, the ServiceAdmin*DataProvider aggregators, and the Option config API. Same data, same structure, no scraping, no bypassed internals. Data Lola reads is indistinguishable from data the dashboard pages show.

Second, every capability is also reachable through MCP. LolaCore ships its own MCP server, vendored inside the plugin. Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Windsurf, any MCP client connected to your LolaCore site sees the 22 Statistics capabilities alongside everything else LolaCore exposes. No separate adapter, no extra setup.

This add-on doesn't run as a standalone MCP server. It needs LolaCore active, because LolaCore is what publishes the server. The wp-admin chat and your IDE are two entry points to the same capabilities.

## Frequently asked questions

### Questions

**Does this replace WP Statistics?**
No. WP Statistics keeps tracking exactly as it does today. The add-on lets Lola read what it records and explain it. The dashboards are still there if you ever want them.

**Is this affiliated with VeronaLabs?**
No. WP Statistics is developed by VeronaLabs. This is an independent add-on. It's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.

**Is this a security tool?**
No. Lola is an analyst for traffic patterns. She doesn't block bots, ban IPs, or replace a security plugin. When she spots a pattern worth acting on, she explains it and suggests next steps you can review and approve.

**Does this send my analytics data anywhere?**
No. Every read runs inside your WordPress install through the WP Statistics PHP API. When you chat with Lola, your messages go to the AI provider you configured in WordPress itself. The add-on adds nothing to that path.

**Can I see who's online right now?**
The live-visitor count requires the WP Statistics Real-Time Stats add-on from VeronaLabs. When it's active on your site, the online-now number shows up in your traffic summary.

**What happens if I deactivate WP Statistics?**
The add-on shows an admin notice and stops registering its capabilities until WP Statistics is active again. No fatal errors.
